The moment behind Telltail

The changes that matter rarely arrive all at once.

They can look like ordinary days—until you realise a new pattern has been quietly building.

01

The usual walk gets shorter.

Not dramatically. Just a little less enthusiasm, one ordinary day at a time.

02

Weekend rest slowly increases.

A quiet day can be normal. A pattern deserves context.

03

The change is clearer in hindsight.

Telltail is exploring how to make that history easier to hold in view.

Know their normal

Well-being insights built around your dog—not the average dog.

Telltail is exploring how activity, rest and routine can be understood against an individual baseline, then translated into calm, useful context.

Activity, rest and routine understood against an individual baseline, then translated into calm, useful context.

01

Learns their baseline

Breed, age and environment matter. Telltail starts with the individual.

02

Connects the signals

Activity means more when it is understood alongside sleep, recovery and heart rate.

03

Turns change into action

See what shifted, why it may matter and the next useful step—without alarm.

Evidence before promises

Designed to help you notice sooner. Disciplined by evidence.

Telltail starts with the lowest defensible claim: what was measured, how it changed and what appropriate next step may help.

Vet-ready history

A concise pattern summary

The value isn’t another number. It’s a clearer history of what changed between care conversations.

Product principleTo validate with veterinary professionals

Built to complement care

A concise health history you can share with your vet.

Trends, relevant context and owner observations—prepared for a more informed conversation, never positioned as a diagnosis.

What Telltail is exploring

Personal patterns, clear context and appropriate next steps.

The product should show what changed, how confident the data is and what owners can responsibly do next.

What Telltail is not

A diagnosis, emergency monitor or replacement for veterinary care.

Performance will depend on fit, wear time, data quality and evidence for each supported insight.

Built for everyday life

More confidence. Fewer unanswered questions.

Not another stream of data to manage. A calm companion that notices, explains and helps you care with confidence.

01

Live normally

A future wearable could quietly capture signals without daily measuring or manual spreadsheets.

02

Notice sooner

The intended experience looks for sustained change and adds the context needed to understand it calmly.

03

Care together

Share a clearer history with the people who care for your dog—without presenting it as a diagnosis.

Owners should feel more prepared—not more anxious.

Before you join the research

The questions good caretakers ask.

Questions about fit, privacy or research participation? We’ll be clear about what exists today and what still needs to be proven.

Read the research principles
Does Telltail diagnose health conditions?

No. Telltail helps you understand patterns and prepare for better care conversations. It is not a diagnostic or emergency-monitoring device.

Will I receive a collar?

Not as part of the first research stage. Early participants will begin with interviews and prototypes; any future wearable pilot will be clearly described and separately consented to.

How is my dog’s data protected?

Privacy is part of the product research, not an afterthought. We will explain what is collected, why it is needed, how it is used and what choices you have before any pilot begins.

What happens after I apply?

We will ask a few questions about you and your dog, then contact suitable participants as each research activity opens. Applying does not commit you to take part.

How much daily input would Telltail require?

The intended experience is quiet and lightweight. Research will test where a small owner observation adds useful context without becoming another daily chore.

Which dogs and households can join the research?

We are starting with dog owners and will recruit different breeds, ages, routines and household types as each study requires. Eligibility may vary between research activities.

How will you decide when Telltail is ready?

Only when the experience is useful to owners, appropriate alongside veterinary care, privacy-respecting and supported by evidence for every insight it presents.
